POSIWEIGH
are specialist Designers and Manufacturers of Weighing Equipment for use in the packaging
of products such as dried food items.
Mr Peter Miles has acquired a reputation for producing
quality products at competitive prices and offering first-class customer
service for some 11 years.
POSIWEIGH machines automatically weigh a
variety of products, mainly for the food industry. POSIWEIGH can, however, supply purpose
designed and built equipment to handle a large variety of products - from frozen
vegetables to cat litter.
All of our machines are designed and built
"in house" at our factory in Malvern, Worcestershire, UK.
The "Posiweigh"
is designed for ease of operation and can be supplied in single units for semi automatic
use (hand-presented bags or containers) or in a multiple format to link with automatic
packaging machinery.Simple to
operate, the machine is set to a pre-determined pack (target) weight, then the bulk
product is loaded into an infeed hopper. Using a vibration mechanism, the product enters
the weigh pan, where the system monitors the weight. Once 80% of the target weight has
been loaded, the system switches to a dribble feed for the final 20%, thus ensuring
optimum accuracy.

When the weigher has "made
weight", the product is discharged through specially made outlet chutes designed to
suit your specific packaging arrangements.
Various configurations are available,
covering a weigh range from as little as 50g to as much as 18kg., at speeds of up to 20
weighings per minute per weigh head (depending on flow characteristics).
Our control systems incorporate the latest
in "PLC" (programmable Logic Controller) technology, making it easy for the
operator to set and use. |
As the name suggests, the "Micro" Linear Weigher is
compact and has been developed specifically for use where space restrictions prohibit the
use of standard equipment.The
fundamental principle of operation is the same as that used by the larger Posiweigh
machine featured above, again ensuring optimum accuracy.
The system is best suited to weights
between 2g and 50g, depending on density and flow characteristics, with speeds of up
to 20 weighings per minute from a single machine. Multiple units can be supplied to
provide increased throughput and for synchronisation with packaging and indexing systems.
Quick release parts are incorporated to
provide ease of access for servicing and cleaning.
Manufactured in stainless steel throughout,
these weighers incorporate the latest 'PLC' (Programmable logic Controller) technology,
giving reliability as well as ease of use for operators.
The "Micro"
has proved highly successful in the dairy industry, where it is used for discharging dry
piece type products, such as nuts and coated rice, into yoghurt containers, and where the
units can be supplied in multiple format, mounted on and synchronised to existing indexing
systems to provide a high speed, fully weight controlled system.
